The Baraca Class membership is open to men of all ages with four teachers providing a variety of Biblical presentations. Baraca is Hebrew for "blessed or happy." Each fifth Sunday is shared with the McCartha Class of the First United Methodist Church. Our Baraca theme is "Men at Work, Standing by the Bible." We have an annual banquet and support the total ministries of the First Baptist Church. Visitors are welcome with coffee and fellowship prior to class time.

The topics are varied and address the needs, problems, and solutions for today. Each member's ideas are respected and welcomed.

We focus on both inreach and outreach ministries and offer honest, caring, open, frank, and edifying discussions of life and the Word. Our bond is our love of and devotion to Christ.

The Young Men's class is a small group comprised of men ranging in age from their 20's to their 40's. These men are either single, divorced, or married. We are doing a New Testament study using books written by Warren Wiersby. The class engages in active and open discussion of lessons and tries to apply them to our daily lives as well as learn more about the meaning of God's Word.

Class size is conducive to discussion facilitated by the teacher/leader. To enhance the loving, caring, sharing feeling among us as we minister to ourselves and others, we have a monthly class fellowship with periodic social activities. We are a JOYful group!

This class of ladies ranges from their mid-forties to their early seventies. Some are married, but not all. Most members have children and grandchildren. Ours is a caring and praying class whose members truly love the Lord and each other. Each teacher has her own style and method of teaching, and each guides discussion of the lessons from the Life Ventures Family Bible Study. Our class has several ministry projects and fellowship meetings and suppers each year.

Our class is comprised of men ranging in ages from 40 to 70. Sunday morning classes consist of fellowship, prayer, and Bible study. We use the Life Ventures Family Bible Study series as a guide. We engage in very active and open discussion of the study theme and how it impacts our lives. Our goal is to always determine the Biblical truth in each lesson. We plan fellowship times, highlighted by quarterly potluck meals.

We have mothers who have chosen to be "stay-at-home" moms. We have men who have been chosen to serve as Church Deacons. We have fun through planned social events. The greatest thing you can do for a child is to introduce him/her to Jesus Christ. In all of our children's Sunday School classes, this is the top priority.
Children learn songs, bible stories, and scripture at all ages in all grades. We have a class for your child. The best way to find the right class is to enter the education building (behind the sanctuary) and go to "Mrs. Betty's Desk." Someone should be there to help your child find their class.
