What is the Gospel?

The word “gospel” means “good news.” So what is the good news of Christianity? According to 1 Corinthians 15:1-11, it's that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that Christ was buried, and that Christ rose from the dead the third day and was seen by a multitude of people.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Worship at First Baptist includes singing, prayer, and Biblical preaching. Your children (kindergarten through 6th grade) will be in the sanctuary with you during the singing, then leave for Children's Church when the music is over.

What should you wear? Either jeans, t-shirts, shorts, dresses, or suit and tie - all are welcome here.
Whatever you are wearing, we'll be glad your here.
CHILDREN
If you are planning on bringing your children with you, we think that’s awesome. You’ll want to give yourself a few extra minutes to get your kids checked into their respective environments. Kindergarten through 6th grade children can attend an age-appropriate Sunday School class and Children's Church during Morning Worship.
NURSERY
Our Nursery is located in the Education Building. Newborns through Preschool age children meet here during Sunday School (9AM) and Sunday Morning Worship (10:15AM). Check your child in, and one of our volunteers will help you find your room.
TIMES & LOCATION
We are just past the Square in Downtown Troy. From Highway 231, turn onto Three Notch Street (between KFC and CVS) and drive 1.3 miles. We are located just a few blocks on the left past the Downtown Square.
We have provided a campus map here. Our parking lot greeters will gladly guide you around the church campus.
